Catholic Planner for Women

I had an opportunity to purchase a planner at a reduced rate in exchange for my honest opinion and I jumped at the chance.  Jen Frost of FaithAndFabricDesign on Etsy has a cute little Customizable Catholic Planner for women.  It comes in a print version, which is what I got, as well as a downloadable version.  She shipped promptly, and I received a well wrapped package with a cute little ribbon to hold it securely in place.  I had her punch mine so all I had to do was purchase the ARC rings (which I got at my local Michael’s).

I really like the fact that it is customizable.  When you order, you let her know what 7 categories you want.  You can choose the 7 days of the week or pick categories that are more specific for your life.  I chose to incorporate spots for my business to do lists as well as categories for tracking my wellness habits such as food and fitness.  I also used a spot to keep track of my progress on goals I set for the year.  At the top of the page are 7 circles which you can customize to track whatever you like, water intake, getting enough veggies every day, whatever it is that’s important for you to keep track of.  I also like that there is a spot to practice gratitude every week and a spot for prayer requests.  One of my favorite parts is the scripture for each week.  It’s hard to find a planner that incorporates so many aspects of our lives.

The paper is thick enough that you can write on it without it showing through to the other side and the space in each category has lines wide enough to write your notes and appointments.  The monthly calendars have Saints listed as well as the colors of the liturgical season.  After each monthly spread is a sheet with the saint’s feast days for the month and a page for notes.  It’s a nice way to help with liturgical living that’s compact enough to be carried with you.

What would I change?  Well I would probably not try to track my food in this journal, there isn’t enough space for me to write down what I eat for the entire week in the one space.  If you really want to track your food log, I would suggest using 2 categories for it.  I wish there was an option for another set of 7 circles at the top of each week as there is more than one thing I want to track daily.  I have just added my own circles, so it wasn’t a huge problem.

All in all, I am very pleased with this planner.  Check it out for yourself at Jen’s shop.
